The BSE Sensex closed 108.63 points up at 28532.11 on account of firm global cues. Sentiments also goot a boost after Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian stated that India has potential to grow at 8-10 per cent, or even faster, a day after the government reported a 7.1 per cent expansion in April-June GDP, the slowest in five quarters. The 50-share index NSE Nifty settled 35 points up at 8809.65 on Friday.

MOIL Ltd: Shares of MOIL Ltd gained nearly 8 per cent on Friday after the company informed bourses that it has increased prices of various grades of manganese ore with effect from September 1.
TVS Motor Company: TVS Motor Company said its domestic two-wheeler sales grew 30.1 per cent to 2,38,984 units for the month ended August 2016 from 1,83,653 in August 2015. Shares of the company closed 1.33 per cent up at Rs 331.85.
Hero MotoCorp: The two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday registered a 28 per cent rise in sales at 6,16,424 units in August. It had sold 4,80,537 units in August 2015. Hero MotoCorp shares were closed 0.74 per cent up at Rs 3574.
Essel Propack: The packaging company on Thursday posted 6.63 per cent rise in its consolidated bottomline figures for the June quarter at Rs 37.62 crore. It had reported a net profit of Rs 35.28 crore in the corresponding period last year. However, shares of the company closed 2.79 per cent down at Rs 217.80.
Tata Motors: The auto major posted a 6 per cent increase in total sales at 43,061 units in August. Tata Motors had sold 40,679 units in the same month last year. The scrip of the auto major closed 1.13 per cent up at Rs 549.80.
Trent: The Reserve Bank of India has restricted foreign investors to raise stake further in Tata Group departmental firm Trent as the permissible limit has been crossed. Trent shares gained 2.17 per cent to Rs 2,242.95.
Brooks Laboratories: Shares of the company soared 20 per cent to Rs 121 after the company informed bourses the new manufacturing facility at Vadodara, Gujarat has been granted with manufacturing licence from commissioner of Food & Drugs Control Administration, Gandhinagar for manufacture of pharmaceutical products. The manufacturing license is valid for the period of 5 years from August 16, 2016 to August 15, 2021.
Reliance Infra: Reliance Infrastructure gained 4.76 per cent after it informed bourses that the company has already won arbitration awards for two Road projects of Rs 170 crore. In addition, over Rs 14,000 crore are under advanced stages of arbitration for various projects.
PVR: PVR shares gained nearly 8 per cent on Friday after reports that Wanda Cinema is in talks with PVR Cinemas promoter Ajay Bijli
