Mercedes-Benz has started sending out invites for the new S-Class luxury sedan launch that is scheduled to take place on 26th February. The car was introduced by Mercedes-Benz as the first Made in India BS-VI vehicle to roll out on Indian roads. The car is being produced at the company's production facility in Chakan, Pune. Another highlight of the car is that it can run on low grade BS-IV fuel as well and hence, you not need to wait till the year 2020 when the sale of BS-VI fuels will kick start. Talking of prominent changes on the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the luxury sedan will come with features like new headlamps and tail lamps. The car has also been assisted with new bumpers that certainly look better than before. The car runs on new wheels that are significantly different when compared to the previous model.
The cabin of the new 2018 Mercedes S-Class has seen some improvements too. The car will now come with a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. There are also new fragrance and lighting options that adds up to the luxury appeal of the car. Body massage enabled ventilated seats along with four zone climate control system have been retained on the new S-Class as well. The seat and side panels on the new 2018 Mercedes S 350d gets new wood and leather options to take the luxury up a notch. The central command unit on this Merc is also revised.
The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder diesel engine that is good for producing respective power and torque outputs of 286 hp and 600 Nm. Having said that, the torque has gone down by 20 hp while the power output has got a boost by 28 hp.
The price of the new 2018 Mercedes S-Class will be over Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). More details to be revealed on 26th February. The company has recently launched the new Mercedes-Benz S 560 and S 650 at the Auto Expo 2018.
