The Windsor EV is the first vehicle under the partnership of JSW MG Motor. The new vehicle will be the first crossover EV in the mass market segment. MG is calling it India’s first intelligent CUV (crossover utility vehicle), which will be priced between the affordable Comet EV and the ZS EV. The electric MPV is originally sold as the Wuling Cloud EV in the international market. The Windsor EV is available in three variants — Excite, Exclusive, and Essence.
MG Windsor EV: Battery Specifications
The MG Windsor EV is available with a 37.9 kWh battery pack. The 37.9 kWh battery offers a driving range of 331 km. (In other countries it is also available with a 50.6 kWh battery with a range of 460 km.) The Windsor EV is a front-wheel-drive vehicle with a single electric motor. The battery charges from 0 to 100 per cent with an AC home charger in 6.5 hours while 0-80 per cent with a DC fast charger does it in 55 minutes. It can handle a maximum charging speed of 45 kW.

MG Windsor EV: Features
The MG Windsor EV boasts a top-of-the-line 15.6-inch infotainment system from Infinity with 9 speakers, featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and apps like JioSaavn and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it features a backseat that reclines up to 135 degrees, electrically adjustable front seats, rear AC vents and a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, among other features. It is the first mass-market vehicle to come with an Infinity view full glass roof, but it is not openable. It features a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way powered front passenger seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and 256 multi-colour ambient lights. The Windsor EV gets all LED illumination including automatic headlights, tail lamps and indicators. It sports 18-inch alloy wheels, auto rain-sensing wipers and flush door handles.
MG Windsor EV: Safety
The Windsor EV like other MG vehicles is packed with state-of-the-art safety features. However, the India variant does not get ADAS, unlike the vehicle available in other markets. It features regular Cruise Control, automatic climate control, a wireless charger for phones, and full keyless entry. Apart from this, the crossover EV also gets six airbags as standard, with ABS, EBD & BA, Electronic Stability Control, Emergency Stop Signal, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Vehicle Hold, Hill Hold Control and ISOFIX child mounts.
MG Windsor EV: Colours
The MG Windsor EV is available in four colours. The paint schemes include Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black.

The MG Windsor is the first mass market all-electric crossover utility vehicle (CUV) or a crossover.
The MG Windsor EV is available with a battery capacity of 37.9 kWh with a range of 331 km per charge.
Technically, the MG Windsor EV doesn’t have an EV MPV rival, but based on the price could take up against the likes of the Tata Curvv EV.
The Windsor will be the third EV in the MG Motor portfolio and will be slotted between the Comet EV and the ZS EV.
The MG Windsor EV is the first mass market vehicle to come with an all glass roof, but it is not openable.
The price of the MG Windsor EV starts at Rs 9.99 lakh, because the owner has to pay a rental for the battery at Rs 3.50 per Km separately. This lowers the upfront cost of the car and reduces running costs.
