The e Vitara is Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric vehicle to be launched globally as well as in India. It is based on a skateboard EV platform called eHeartect which has been jointly developed alongside Toyota, Suzuki’s international alliance. It will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The electric SUV will be retailed via the premium Nexa chain.
Maruti Suzuki will offer the e Vitara in multiple variants. It is expected to be priced within Rs 20 -25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti will offer the e Vitara with battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The former comes with a single, front-wheel mounted electric motor which makes 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque. The 61 kWh battery pack is available with two drivetrains: a single motor, front-wheel drive (2WD) option and a dual-motor, all-wheel drive (AWD) option. The former produces 172 bhp and 189 Nm, and the latter gets a more powerful motor making 182 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara is expected to offer an ARAI-rated range of around 550–600 km.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara gets a completely new dashboard layout comprising an integrated dual screen setup– one for the infotainment and the other for digital driver’s display– and a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Other notable features include auto climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, etc.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will offer safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points as standard. In addition, higher variants of e Vitara come equipped with hill descent control and Level 2 ADAS features.
