Kia Motors India is all set to launch its first offering for India - the Seltos. The Kia Seltos will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options both of which will be BS-VI compliant. The cabin of the Kia Seltos features a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that should support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle get features like mood lighting, automatic climate control, heads up display, 8-speaker Bose sound system and more. The Kia Seltos competes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier in the segment.

The exteriors of the Kia Seltos are quite butch. It gets LED headlamps and a dominating 'Tiger Nose' grille up-front. It comes with faux skid plates along with black plastic cladding that grant it a dominating look. The side profile of this compact SUV consists of bold character lines and swelled wheel arches. At the back, the wraparound tail-lamps are linked together with a thick chrome strip which runs along the length of the boot-lid. There is a small roof-mounted spoiler on the back as well.
The interiors of the Kia Seltos are quite premium. The cabin has a dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige. The top-half of the dashboard is covered with soft-touch materials. The Seltos comes with a floating touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, steering mounted audio controls among other features.
The engine line-up of the Kia Seltos consists of two petrol and one diesel engine. The petrol line-up consists of a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated motor which is capable of churning out 115 hp of power along with 144 Nm of peak torque. In addition to this, there is a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine on offer as well which is good for 140 hp of power along with 242 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.5-litre, turbocharged unit which is good for 115 hp of power along with 240 Nm of peak torque.
All the engines available with the Kia Seltos are paired as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre petrol also comes with an option of a CVT automatic gearbox. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol is also available with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic as well.
The Kia Seltos comes with disc brakes up-front, as well as at the back. In terms of safety, this compact SUV comes with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, driver and passenger seat belt warning along with high-speed alert system as standard across the range. Higher variants get side and curtain airbags.
The 1.4-litre, turbo-petrol promises to offer a mileage of 16.2 kmpl. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine promises to offer a mileage of 16.4 kmpl. The 1.5-litre diesel engine promises to offer a fuel-efficiency figure of 20.8 kmpl for the manual and 17.8 kmpl for the automatic.
