The Tata Sierra EV was first showcased at the Auto Expo and unlike the Harrier EV and Safari EV which will be based on existing models, the Sierra EV will be a ground-up design. Expected to be launched sometime in 2025, the Tata Sierra EV will also be an important product for the carmaker.
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be offered in multiple variants, similar to other electric vehicles by Tata Motors. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be priced between Rs 25–30 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Tata Sierra EV's battery specifications have not been revealed, however, it is expected to offer a range of over 500km on a full charge. The Tata Sierra EV is also expected to be offered in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions.
On the features front, the Tata Sierra EV is expected to get a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 10.2-inch digital instrument console, dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a multi-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.
The safety features on the Tata Sierra EV will include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ADAS, reversing camera and parking sensors, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, and more.
