A couple of days back, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) CMD Anupam Shrivastava announced on Twitter that the telecom company is working towards a new postpaid plan that will provide unlimited calling facility and decent internet data in the Rs 400 price point. And today, the state-owned telecom company launched the new postpaid plan worth Rs 399. The new postpaid plan is aimed to help out those who need the internet data as well as unlimited calling feature. This ‘Holi Dhamaka’ postpaid plan from BSNL gives unlimited calls and a huge 30 GB of internet data in one billing cycle. This plan will go live from March 1, 2018 and subscribers will be able to select the plan from Thursday onward.
This move from BSNL comes after all the major players in the telecom industry have come out with a plan that offer similar facilities. Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone and even Idea Cellular have plans in the similar price bracket for the postpaid users. Under this plan, BSNL will be offering 30 GB of internet data with no daily limit. The plan will also have unlimited calling benefits as well. What should come as a surprise for many is the fact that BSNL has 4G inter services in Kerala only, however, the state owned telecom company has teamed up with Nokia to being the 4G VoLTE services in as many as 10 circles. The plan will be made available for the new customers as well as previous customers as well.
Other telecom giants such as Airtel offers 20 GB of internet data along with unlimited voice calling for Rs 399. Vodafone has the exact same plan like Airtel’s, meanwhile at Rs 389 Idea provides the similar benefits. Reliance Jio on the other hand gives 30 GB of internet data without any daily cap for its postpaid subscribers for Rs 409.
