Gold and silver rates today, September 19

The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 73,270 per 10 grams on September 19. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,327. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 67,164 per 10 grams.

“After the rate cut decision, the US dollar turned higher putting pressure on gold like safe commodities. Earlier, some expected lowering rates would cause a decline in the value of US currency and potentially lift the price of gold and silver. Gold in the key London market is trading down by 0.33% at $2566 an ounce while silver is down by 0.15% at $30.35 an ounce at 08.15 am today,” said Hareesh V, Head of Commodities at Geojit Financial Services.

The outsized rate cut shows that the US is inching towards an economic slowdown, which further will boost the prices of gold and silver. The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 0.3% in the last week, and the yellow metal has risen by 2.16% in the last ten days. The silver currently quotes at Rs 88,050 per kilogram. 

Gold rate in Mumbai on September 19

As Maharashtra says adieu to lord Ganesha, the glittering metal was quoted for a price of Rs 73,270/10 grams in Mumbai on September 19, a fall of Rs 70  from yesterday. On September 18, the price of gold was Rs 73,340/10 grams, down Rs 340. Seven days back, on September 12, gold was trading for Rs 73,020/10 grams.

Silver rate in Mumbai on September 19

The shining metal silver was selling for a rate of Rs 88,050/Kg on September 19 in Mumbai. A day ago, the metal was priced at Rs 89,070/Kg and a week ago the price was Rs 86,860/Kg.

Gold rate in Delhi on September 19

While the price of the 999 gold was selling for a price of Rs 72,890/10 grams a week ago.

In Delhi, the silver was priced at Rs 87,900/Kg on September 19. The price of silver was Rs 88,920/Kg on September 18. The price of silver was quoted at Rs 86,710/Kg last week.

The 24-carat gold rate in Kolkata was trading for a price of Rs 73,130/10 grams, today, September 19. The glittering metal was selling for Rs 73,240/10 grams yesterday and was quoting for Rs 72,920/10 grams last week.

The gold MCX futures contracts with the expiry of October 2024 were quoted for Rs 72,929 per 10 gm, an increase of Rs 126. While the futures contracts for silver with the December 2024 expiry on MCX futures were trading at Rs 88,400 per kg, an increase of Rs 101.
