India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has added a new variant to its Celerio hatchback called the Maruti Suzuki Celerio Tour H2 for Rs 4.21 lakh. The new variant has been launched especially for cab aggregators and is based on the Lxi (O) variant of Maruti Suzuki Celerio and gets the same features.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki Celerio Tour H2 features a speed-limiting device as a standard fit on the model. As per revised government regulations that were implemented to reduce the number of road accidents India, cabs and taxis have to be equipped with a speed limiting device. This variant is one up to the base variant of Celerio.
This is also the second car from Maruti Suzuki after the Dzire Tour that underpins Maruti Suzuki Dzire to get a speed limiting device. The company claims a top speed of 80 kmph on the Celerio Tour H2.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio Tour He gets a 1.0L, 3-cylinder engine that has power output of 68 hop and 90 Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual gear box. Maruti Suzuki claims a mileage of 23.10 kmpl on the petrol variants of Celerio and 31.76 kmpl on the CNG variants. This also features dual-airbags.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been one of the company’s top-selling products and have remained among India’s top-selling cars for a while now. Addition of this new H2 variant will attract Ola and Uber drivers as company fitted Speed-limiting device is always better than after market accessories.
This is the second new variant of Maruti Suzuki Celerio launched in recent times, the first one being the Maruti Suzuki CelerioX. At the upcoming Auto Expo 2018 the company will also showcase its latest Future S concept and will also launch the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift along with showcasing many other new global concepts and products.
