When asked whether CPI-M would withdraw support from the UPA government if it went ahead with operationalising the deal, Pandhe said: "I cannot say anything now."

Meanwhile, party veteran Jyoti Basu declined to make any comment.

The crucial politburo meeting was being held in the backdrop of the ongoing tussle between the UPA government and the Left parties over the nuke deal.

Besides the leaders mentioned above, others attending it Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, R Umanath, K Vardarajan, B V Raghavulu, S R Pillai, Biman Bose and Brinda Karat.

I have no second thoughts on the fact that the left leaders are trying to follow the divde and rule policy system which the british practiced long time bck. Everyone is aware of the fact that left leaders are ok if there is a SEZ, FDI in retail and growth in places likes West bengal and kerala. However these leades are not ok with SEZ or FDI in retail happens in places like delhi or mumbai. They know very well that they cannot come to power in places like delhi or mumbai in the next 100 years.. so that is why they want the development for west bengal or kerala but not india.so divide country as you widh to....actually they are never cared for india bcause for them China is supreme important. Also they have opposed the 123 nuclear deal becuase it would create problems for China (masters)..thry are now concerned about right of indian nuclear testing when in 1998 they actually opposed the nuclear test..god help them..I know onething these leaders would lead india to disaster as USSR had gone through in the 90s.Also they would like India to be a part of rogue nations like Iran or North Korea who at any time can cause world war...god help this country or else we are doomed for sure.
