Turkish company Letrons on Thursday modified a BMW car and gave the world, its first Transformer. The Letrons Transformer might now move like an Optimus Prime and take on evil Decepticons, but it does look splendid just moving about 120 degrees. Now, it is a little too much to ask for an actual Bumble Bee at our doorsteps, it is a good sign to see that Letrons has brought a car to life.
The new Transformer is called Antimon is a red BMW car, in disguise. The car also moves in its regular form, though not like a usual car but like an extremely expensive remote controlled gadget. And it can only do so when it is put in the car mode. Apart from Antimon, Letrons has built 4 other transformers and each of them stands out like the majestic metallic beats they appear to be on screen.
Letrons is based in Ankara, Turkey. the parent company Letvision was initially an R & D company when it started but was awarded by the Ministry of Industry and supported by KOSGEB. The engineers seem to have put in a lot of work on the metallic giant, which also explains the huge amount of time taken to build each one of them. The first Transformer took about 8 months to built. While they have not yet awarded them with movable capabilities, it is safe to say that there is still decades to pass before they get available for commercial use. Even then, the price range would be touching the skies. But that is an obvious fact, considering you would need to own a BMW first.
