Pakistan on Friday was declared the 4th most unsafe country in the world. According to the ‘Global Travel and Terrorism Report’, by the World Economic Forum, Pakistan takes the 4th lead in the list of the most unsafe countries in the world, following only Nigeria, Columbia, Yemen. The report ranked countries in the terms of ‘Safety and Security’, gave Pakistan, a score of 3.04. Meanwhile, Finland has been declared the safest country in the world with a high score of 6.7.
The report also concluded that the most of the safest countries in the world were from Europe. India meanwhile comes down at the 11th most unsafe countries in the world. Meanwhile, the bottom of the list was dominated by countries from Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle east. Following the Uri terror attack, India has been trying to isolate Pakistan on a global level for harbouring terrorism on its soil. India had earlier conducted surgical strikes across the LoC, eliminating a significant number of terrorists in the PoK.
Meanwhile, the US and Russia, among other around the world have been cornering Pakistan about its terror problem. Even elected members of the Pakistani Parliament have condemned the Pakistani government and said that the country may be accountable for its armed forces but has in no way taken any responsibilities of the “non-state actors”. With the world slowly but surely isolating Pakistan, and now the WEF reports showing it as the 4th unsafest country on Earth, it has to be wondered if the infamous neighbours are inching towards becoming a failed state.
