Ford unveiled the EcoSport facelift at the Los Angeles Motor Show that is expected to be launched in the US by 2018 followed by a launch in India. The facelifted version of the compact SUV has been recently spotted by Carwale, which is on its way to Mexico. Although the design and styling of the upcoming compact SUV are similar to Ford's models and the images suggests that the car will get cosmetic enhancements both at the exterior and interior. The compact SUV will be based on the car manufacturer's B-segment platform, which also underpins the Fiesta. The exterior is expected to get front grille with chrome finishing, sharper headlamps & fog lamps and new 17-inch alloy wheel as standard. At the rear, the new Ford EcoSport facelift will get tailgate mounted a spare wheel and revised bumper with diffuser. The higher versions will also be equipped with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps).
The cabin of the upcoming Ford EcoSport facelift will get new features and will be heavily reworked. The car manufacturer will offer the compact SUV with a touchscreen infotainment system which will feature SYNC3 system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability along with a steering mounted audio and phone controls.
The facelifted Ford EcoSport is expected to be powered by the existing engine options, a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel as well as the 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol unit. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will be paired with an automatic and manual transmission option, while the 1.0 litre EcoBoost and diesel unit will come only with a manual transmission.
