The State Bank of India (SBI) has extended the last date of deposits through the Amrit Kalash scheme. Under the Amrit Kalash FD scheme, SBI offers its highest interest rate to senior citizens and others compared to FDs of other tenors.
As per information on the SBI website, the Amrit Kalash deposit scheme will now be valid till August 15, 2023.
Under Amrit Kalash FDs of 400 days, senior citizens can get 7.6% interest while regular customers of SBI can earn 7.1% interest on their deposits.
“The specific tenor scheme of “400 days” (Amrit Kalash) at Rate of Interest of 7.10 % w.e.f. 12- April- 2023. Senior Citizens are eligible for rate of interest of 7.60%. The Scheme will be valid till 15-August-2023,” the SBI website says.
SBI Fixed Deposit Interest Rates for other tenors
The SBI is offering up to 7.5% interest to senior citizens for deposits of 5 to 10 years. For regular customers, the bank is offering up to 7% interest on deposits of 2 years to less than 3 years.
SBI also offers Sarvottam (Non-Callable) Domestic Retail Term Deposits for above Rs 15 lakh to less than Rs 2 crores. In these deposits, pre-mature payment is not allowed. The following are the interest rates for SBI Sarvottam (Non-Callable) Domestic Retail Term Deposits:
- 30 bps over card rate for tenor 1 year i.e. 7.1%
- 40 bps over card rate for tenor 2 years i.e. 7.4%
SBI FD Rates
- 1 Year to less than 2 years FD: The bank is offering 6.8% interest to the general public and 7.30% to senior citizens.
- 2 years to less than 3 years FD: The bank is offering 7% interest to the general public and 7.50% to senior citizens.
- 3 years to less than 5 years FD: The bank is offering 6.5% interest to the general public and 7 % to senior citizens.
- 5 years and up to 10 years FD: The bank is offering 6.5% interest to the general public and 7.5% to senior citizens.
