Isuzu is going to launch the facelift version of its popular D-Max V-Cross pickup truck. Reports on the internet suggest that the new 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be available for sale in a total of two variants viz V-Cross and V-Cross High. According to a report on Team-BHP, the two variants will reportedly be launched in India at respective prices of Rs 14.27 lakh and Rs 15.77 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Andhra Pradesh). The bookings for the upcoming 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross have begun at company's dealerships across India. The 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift is not just limited to the exterior tweaks and the pickup truck gets revisions to the cabin as well. The front section of the D-Cross looks almost the same to that of the existing model and the prominent change comes appears on the side. The bumper on the rear gets some chrome treatment that makes it look more upmarket and premium.
The cabin of the new 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross receives a new touchscreen infotainment system. The vehicle also gets a rear camera to offer safety and convenience to the driver. The top end V-Cross High variant comes additionally with six-step adjustable driver's seat, traction control, electronic stability control and a multi-functional steering wheel. Also, the seats will come wrapped in beige leather.
When it comes to powertrain, the new 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross sources its power from the same 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission system. The mill is good for producing a maximum power output of 136 hp along with a peak torque of 320 Nm.
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been a hit in the Indian market with no direct competition. Even big players like Tata Motors and Mahindra did not saw any great success in the pickup truck segment and that is where Isuzu has an edge over its competition. Now only time will tell if this upcoming facelift has benefitted the company in terms of sales or not.
