Mother's Day which is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May across the world is the day specially dedicated to the woman who devotes all her life for the well-being of her child and in return for this selfless love from her, she expects nothing.

Google today represented the celebration of ‘motherhood’ through its animated doodle and has honoured all the sacrifices the mums all world over have made for their babies.

Mother – a magical word which encapsulates every emotion. Mother’s Day which is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May across the world is the day specially dedicated to the woman who devotes all her life for the well-being of her child and in return for this selfless love from her, she expects nothing. Google today represented the celebration of ‘motherhood’ through its animated doodle and has honoured all the sacrifices the mums all world over have made for their babies.

Google designed a cute Google Doodle to wish all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day 2017. The search engine giant, through an animated series, depicted the story of a mother cactus and her journey as a mum from giving birth to her baby cacti, to taking care of it and at the end living a settled life with her grown up babies, according to India.com. With the help of six gif images, showing various stages that every mother goes through in her life, Google has certainly made the day special for every mum.

Mother’s Day being an important occasion not only marks the special day for every mother on this planet but also gives us an opportunity to make our mums feel special and loved. People all over the world put in a lot of effort, from buying gifts to going out on ‘Mom-dates’ to preparing a special meal for her, just to somehow make the most important women in their lives, feel cared and loved.

The custom of celebrating Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May was first adopted by United States, following which many other countries adopted the same. This day, make sure you pamper your mother with all the love and attention pouring in from everywhere because she totally deserves it!

    I had to go to an Indian newspaper to find explanation for Google mother's day doodle. (Oh. It's supposed to be a cactus) Not sure which is dumber - me or the doodle.
