Senior bureaucrat Aditya Kumar Joshi has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Air India Limited. Joshi, a 1989 batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, has been appointed to the post for a period up to July 31, 2019, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said. Besides him, five other officers have been appointed as the CVOs– who act as a distant arm of Central Vigilance Commission to check corruption– in different organizations. Another IFoS officer Vidyasagar Koppolu will be CVO in National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC), Hyderabad for a period of 3 years, it said.
Ajay Mishra, a 1992 batch officer of Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), has been appointed CVO of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO), the order said. A James Kurian and Mamta Sanjeev Dubey will be CVOs of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Indian Railway Construction Company Limited (IRCON) respectively. Both are IFoS officers. Bir Singh Negi, a 1994 batch IDAS officer, has been named CVO of Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation Limited (MMTC), it said.
