Judwaa 2 box office collections: While most critics were not impressed with Judwaa 2, it is Varun Dhawan who is having the last laugh. On Friday, Judwaa 2 box office collection went past the 100 cr mark. The audience seems to be enjoying every minute of Varun Dhawan’s raillery and tomfoolery and the movie have earned Rs 102.33 crore so far. The news was confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Saturday morning who also predicted the film to do even better on Saturday and Sunday. “#Judwaa2 remains above all new films… Cruises past ₹ 100 cr mark… Sat + Sun should only go higher, packing a SOLID total in Weekend 2…,” he posted on Twitter.

The Judwaa 2 box office collection at the end of Thursday stood at a little over Rs 98 cr. It earned Rs 4 cr on Friday to enter the 100-cr club. “#Judwaa2 [Week 2] Fri 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 102.33 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT,” Adarsh said in another tweet. With this, Judwaa also became FOX Star Studios third film to earn over Rs 100 crore this year. Before this, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and Varun Dhawan’s Badrinath Ki Dhulania also earned over Rs 100 cr. “It’s the THIRD ₹ 100 cr grosser for Fox Star Studios in 2017: #JollyLLB2, #BKD and now, #Judwaa2… Last two star Varun Dhawan,” Taran Adarsh added.

“Judwaa 2 is my 45th film…need I say anything more? To those out there who want to know why I don’t change my style of on-screen comedy, my argument is simple: chalti gadi ka bonnet nahin kholte (you don’t open the bonnet of a moving car). When my so-called formula is being accepted so wholeheartedly, why would I want to change my style of filmmaking?” David Dhawan was quoted saying by Bollywood Hungama over the success of the film.

David added that when the first part of the movie starring Salman Khan released in 1997, no critic praised it but now they call it a classic.
