State Bank of India (SBI) has given yet another extension to two of its popular special fixed deposit (FD) schemes, SBI Amrit Kalash and Amrit Vrishti, with new deadline being fixed for subscribers as March 31, 2025. The earlier deadline for subscribers to invest in these two popular FD scheme was September 30, 2024.

State Bank offers on Amrit Kalash (400 days) FD plan an interest rate of 7.1% to general customers and 7.6% to senior citizens. SBI’s another specific tenor scheme of 444 days, Amrit Vrishti offers 7.25% to general customers and 7.75% to senior citizens. Now, the schemes will remain available for subscription until March 31, 2025.

SBI Amrit Kalash:

In February 2023, SBI introduced Amrit Kalash scheme with special benefit in terms of higher rate of interest. The previous deadline to apply for this special FD was September 30, 2024, but the bank extended the deadline multiple times and now general customers and senior citizens have time till March 31, 2025 to invest in this special FD.

“The specific tenor scheme of ‘400 days’ (Amrit Kalash) at interest rate of 7.10% w.e.f. April 12, 2023. Senior Citizens are eligible for rate of interest of 7.60%. The scheme will be valid till 31st March 2025,” according to the bank’s website.

SBI Amrit Vrishti:

In July 2024, SBI launched new special deposit called ‘Amrit Vrishti’.

According to the SBI website, this specific tenor scheme of ‘444 days’ Amrit Vrishti provides a rate of interest of 7.25% to general customers and 7.75% to senior citizens. “The scheme will be valid till 31st March 2025,” the website showed.

On bulk deposit (above Rs 2 crore), the bank offers 6.15% on tenure of 1111 Days, 1777 Days. For 2222 Days tenure, the bank offers 5.90%.

SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit (SGRTD) interest rate for senior citizens:

Under the scheme, the bank offers 7.15% on tenure of 1111 Days, 1777 Days. For 2222 Days tenure, the bank offers 7.40% on retail term deposits.

On bulk deposit (above Rs 2 crore), the bank offers 6.65% on tenure of 1111 Days, 1777 Days. For 2222 Days tenure, the bank offers 6.40%.
