The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is going to launch its new platform EPFO ​​3.0 very soon. The EPFO 3.0 will have a strong IT platform that aims to make services accessible for members like those in a bank.

Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya last month said that this new system will be operational between May and June 2025.

The minister has said that EPFO ​​3.0 will be a reliable platform, which will give over 9 crore subscribers many new facilities without any hassle. Such as automatic settlement of your claim, correcting mistakes digitally, and most importantly, the facility to withdraw funds directly from the ATM.

The biggest advantage will be that now members will be able to withdraw EPF money from an ATM like a bank account.

So let’s know what new changes are going to come in EPFO ​​3.0:

1. PF withdrawal process to be much easier and faster: Now the claims will be settled automatically; there will be no need for manual work.

2. ATM withdrawal: As soon as the claim is approved, you can withdraw your money from the ATM, just like a bank account.

3. Digital correction: You can correct your account information online from home, which eliminates the hassle of filling forms.

4. Integration of social security schemes: EPFO is now considering to include other social security schemes like Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Bima Yojana in its system, so that workers in the unorganized and informal sector can also get better benefits of pension and security.

5. OTP-based verification: Instead of long forms, you will now be able to make quick and secure changes through OTP.

The retirement fund body has over the last few months has initiated a range of initiatives to reform the EPFO’s ecosystem.

It recently launched the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS) to facilitate hassle-free services for pensioners. They can now withdraw their pension from any bank branch in the country.

Minister Mandaviya had termed the move to launch CPPS as a historic step, which promises convenience, transparency and fast service to pensioners.

ESIC health services

The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is also upgrading its services. Soon ESIC beneficiaries will be able to avail free treatment in government, private and charitable hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Currently ESIC is providing medical facilities to 18 crore people through 165 hospitals.

So overall, this new initiative of EPFO ​​3.0 and ESIC is a big step towards making the facilities more simple, fast and effective for employees and pensioners. With this, they will be able to easily get the services of their rights sitting at home.
