There is going to be a big change in the credit card rules of HDFC Bank, especially for those customers who avail airport lounge access. The bank has announced that from June 10, 2025, Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit card holders will no longer get entry into the domestic airport lounge by directly swiping the card. Instead, they will now be given vouchers based on quarterly spending, which will provide lounge access.

New charges will also be levied on rent payment, wallet loading and online gaming
From July 1, 2025, HDFC Bank has also announced additional charges on many of its credit card transactions. Let’s know what changes have been made:
1% fee on rent payment
Every rent payment transaction will now be charged 1%. However, this fee will be limited to a maximum of Rs 4,999 per month.
Charges on online gaming
If you spend more than Rs 10,000 in a month on online skill-based gaming, a 1% charge will be levied on that too. The maximum charge on a transaction will be Rs 4,999.
Charges on wallet loading
Except PayZapp, all other wallets will be charged 1% for loading more than Rs 10,000. This charge will also be limited to Rs 4,999 per transaction.
What is PayZapp?
This is a digital payment app of HDFC Bank, through which bill payments, shopping and transfers etc. can be done. It does not require a bank account or debit/credit card.

Limit on reward points on insurance
Infinia and Infinia Metal Edition cards will now get a maximum of 10,000 reward points per month.
On cards like Diners Black, H.O.G Diners Club, BizBlack Metal, this limit will be 5,000 points per month.
On all other cards, this limit will be 2,000 reward points per month.
According to the bank’s terms, “From December 20, 2019, a maximum of Rs 5,000 (for some cards) and Rs 2,000 (for other cards) reward points will be available in a day on insurance transactions. This rule is valid till June 30, 2025.”
There will be no limit on Marriott Bonvoy card
There will be no limit on reward points on paying insurance premium with Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card.
