Telangana Election 2023: The poll-bound Telangana introduced a new scheme of providing healthy breakfast by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to government school students of Telangana. On Thursday, October 5, Telangana CM KCR announced the whole list of food that will be served early morning to students coming to school for studies.
According to the issued food schedule list, students will be provided with different food options every working day like on Monday, two options will be given to students either Idli and Sambar or Wheat Rava Upma and Chutney. On Tuesday, Puri and Alu Kurma or Tomato Bath with Rava and Sambar. On Wednesday, there will be Upma and Sambar or Rice Rava Khichdi and Chutney; on Thursday, there will be Millet Idly or Pongal and Sambar; on Friday, there will be Uggani/Poha/Millet Idli and Chutney; and on Saturday, there will be Pongal and Sambar; and on Sunday, there will be Vegetable Pulao and Raita/Alu Kurma.
The scheme is called ‘Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme’ and was planned to introduce on October 24. The aim of the scheme is to feed over 23 lakh government school students of class 1 to class 10 rolled out across 27 district and 147 government schools in the state, primarily designed to provide students with a nutritious start to the day in addition to high-quality education.
According to official reports to maintain food standards random inspections will be taking place where samples will be collected and tested under senior guidance. The scheme has inspired the Tamil Nadu government and soon it will be launching a breakfast scheme for class 1 to class 5 students.
