GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Q3 profit falls 3% on government price cap

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, the Indian unit of the UK’s GSK , reported a 3 per cent fall in third-quarter profit, hurt by the government’s pricing cap on certain medicines.Consolidated profit before exceptional items and tax for the quarter was Rs 229 crore ($27.6 million), compared with Rs 236 crore a year earlier. GlaxoSmithKline, which derives most of its revenue from India, continued to grapple with challenges following the inclusion of its key products such as Ceftum antibiotic and T-Bact ointment in the country’s National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM) in September 2022, mandating sales below a government-set price ceiling.

Patel Engineering Q3 profit jumps 187.5% to Rs 68.59 crore, EBITDA at Rs 142.2 crore

Patel Engineering Limited reported its fiscal third quarter profit at Rs 68.59 crore, up 187.5 per cent in comparison to Rs 23.86 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous year. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1061.01 crore, up 11.1 per cent as against Rs 954.63 crore during the third quarter of FY23. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 142.2 crore, up 1.5 per cent on-year. Skipper Ltd Q3 Results: Profit surges 115.2% to Rs 20.47 crore

Skipper Ltd reported its fiscal third quarter profit at Rs 20.47 crore, recording a jump of 115.2 per cent on-year. It had posted a profit of Rs 9.51 crore during the same period last year. The company recorded revenue from operations at Rs 801.58 crore, up 80.2 per cent in comparison to Rs 444.85 crore during the third quarter of FY23. The EBITDA stood at Rs 77.1 crore, up 69.8 per cent on-year and the margin was at 9.6 per cent.

Samvardhana Motherson Q3 profit rises 26.5% YoY to Rs 633.30 crore

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) posted its Q3FY24 profit at Rs 633.30 crore, up 26.5 per cent in comparison to Rs 500.73 crore during the third quarter of FY23.
