The earnings season for the first quarter of FY25 is now in full swing with almost all major companies from the IT sector including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HCL Technologies, Infosys, Wipro, having already released their Q1 results and Tech Mahindra will post its Q1 results on July 25.
Others like Reliance Industries, Jio Financial Services, HDFC Bank, SpiceJet, Asian Paints, LTIMindtree, Patanjali Foods, BPCL, Paytm, Kotak Mahindra Bank, CEAT, and many more too have released their earnings for the quarter ended June 30, 2024.
Following this, companies like Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, United Spirits, Heritage Foods, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, Jindal Steel & Power, Hitachi Energy India, Federal Bank, Nestle India, DLF, Canara Bank, Ashok Leyland, Mphasis, Cyient, Westlife Foodworld, Cipla, IndusInd Bank, Piramal Pharma, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, and many others will release their Q1 numbers this week.
Meanwhile, India Inc is expected to post good profit for Q1FY25 with sectors like automobiles, banking, metals, capital goods and pharmaceuticals doing reasonably well during the period, said Kotak Institutional Equities. For the Nifty 50 set of companies, profits may stay flat YoY and decline 10.7 per cent sequentially. For BSE-30 companies, the brokerage firm expects profits to go up by 8.1 per cent YoY, but fall 8.4 per cent sequentially.
