Zomato launches a campaign during Durga Puja to honour Kolkata’s iconic street food vendors, paying tribute to the local culinary heroes behind the city’s popular street food. From what is understood, the campaign is created with local artisans, the artwork highlights the names and locations of prominent street food vendors, celebrating their contributions to Kolkata’s vibrant food culture during the festive season.
“This campaign is our tribute to Kolkata’s iconic street vendors who are not necessarily on Zomato platform at the moment but are a key part of the city’s cultural fabric,” Sahibjeet Singh, marketing head, Zomato, said.
The campaign features shots of street food stating that none of the shops featured in this video are now on Zomato. The campaign features a 300-meter-long Alpana, a traditional Bengali folk art, at Street Number 104, Action Area 1B, Newtown, Kolkata.
