Sony Sports Network, India’s broadcaster for WWE, releases two ad films featuring south actor Karthi with WWE Superstars Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The campaign, ‘WWE means 100% pure sports entertainment,’ aims to boost WWE’s popularity in South India, promising viewers a blend of ‘Jabar Masti, Tagda Action, and Jamkar Maza’.
The campaign films highlight WWE’s essence of ‘100% Sports Entertainment’ in a straightforward manner. Localised in Tamil and Telugu, it cater to the target audience seeking daily life thrills and entertainment, positioning WWE as the ideal destination. South Superstar Karthi, along with WWE Superstars Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, delivers the message in a unique way. The films elevate the audience’s delight, with Owens and Zayn, who gained popularity during their Hyderabad visit, adding a personalised touch by speaking in local languages.
Film one features Kevin, Sami, and Karthi discouraging risky bike stunts, emphasising the thrill of WWE action on Sony Sports Network. Film two humorously redirects onlookers from a public altercation to watch WWE, conveying a message of spreading love and cheer. Both films aim to bring fans closer to WWE Superstars and offer exclusive live action from main WWE events on TV.
