What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

It’s easy to say work life balance but as an entrepreneur it’s always been difficult to find time outside of work. But the little time I get outside of work I spend reading educational and informative articles online, especially in Medium. At times, to overcome entrepreneurial mood swings, I latch onto OTT for a couple of hours.

How do you spend your weekends?

Frankly, I hate weekends. Am addicted to my work so I am used to getting frequent updates and engaged in meetings. During weekends I miss out on these work related activities. However, I prefer to stay at home and not step out. Watching movies with family during weekends in OTT or in theater’s if it’s a worthy watch is what I do at times.

What are your favourite gadgets?

My favorite gadgets are my phone and my Mac, subbed as my 1st wife. My phone is loaded with 400 plus apps. It’s my go-to place related to work, entertainment, health, shopping, utilities, etc. These days, phones have become your body extensions, enhancing your capacity and efficiency multifold.

Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

I would like to be a teacher. When I feel low, I feel like getting into a university, starting to learn new stuff as a student, and start teaching others. During my school days at Sainik School Korukonda, I used to take classes for 11th class being in 12th std. Even during the stint as an entrepreneur, I love to do my homework, research and start guiding and teaching the team on every aspect of the company, including the tech, marketing, architecture and what not. Love to spread knowledge and make others benefit from it. One of my reasons for joining Drucare is the appetite for learning.

Which is your favorite vacation spot?

Home, what else. I traveled a lot during my Army days and still continue to do so as an entrepreneur. So whenever I get to take a break, I prefer to stay at home and enjoy the sumptuous meal prepared by my wife. Even during family vacations, I prefer to stay and enjoy the hospitality and meals of the hotel stay rather than going out shopping and visiting places. If I had to name a place that would be my hometown and spending time with all the relatives and functions, that would be my go-to activity. Would like to settle down in my hometown after my retirement if I ever retire.

A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching.

My favorite ad would be the one with samosa served in a 5 star hotel with a fancy name. Probably the Borosil ad. Movies, I prefer romcom movies and one of my favorites would be Notting Hill. I do prefer action movies with a typical hero beating a villain with a powerful role for the hero.
