There’s a new quarter-litre motorcycle in town called the 2022 Keeway K-Light 250V! It has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 2.89 lakh, ex-showroom. Sister company to Benelli Motorcycles, and a Hungarian marque, Keeway boasts a unique design and gathered a lot of eyeballs on social media. Here’s how the new Keeway K-Light 250V fares against its rivals, namely the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and the Yezdi Roadster.

Out of the three bikes, Yezdi Roadster has the most powerful engine producing 28.7hp, and the highest torque at 28.7 Nm while the new Keeway K-Light 250V has the smallest engine at 249cc producing 18.7hp and a peak torque of 19Nm. Only Yezdi Roadster gets a 6-speed gearbox, the other two motorcycles get a 5-speed gearbox.

The new Keeway K-Light 250V gets telescopic forks at the front and twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of with disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS. The Yezdi Roadster employs a telescopic fork with 135mm wheel travel, and twin rear shock absorbers with 100mm wheel travel. Braking is via a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The Meteor 350 comes equipped with a double-cradle frame suspended off a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Anchoring the bike are larger 300mm and 270mm discs.

The new Keeway K-Light 250V has been launched at Rs. 2.89 lakh, ex-showroom making it the most expensive out of the three motorcycles. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster are almost similarly priced and enjoy a great fan following.
