A new plan has jumped into the data war ring! Reliance Communications has launched a new plan at Rs 193. Under this plan, customers will get 1GB data per day. Not only this but you will get calling up to 30 mins/day too. The validity period of this plan is 28 days. Reliance Communications on its official Twitter handle announced the plan and wrote, “On the move? Never get bored. Get 1GB Data/Day and Unlimited calling up to 30 Mins/Day at Rs.193.” The plan came from Reliance Communications amid big data war which broke out in the telecom industry after Jio made its entry.

According to a report by news agency PTI, telecom subscriber base in India grew by about half a per cent to cross the 121 crore mark at June-end, with the mobile segment accounting for the lion’s share of growth with a net addition of over 60 lakh customers. Broadband subscriber base, dominated by mobile users, topped 30 crore, from 29.16 crore in May, Trai said in a report.

“The number of telephone subscribers in India increased from 1,204.98 million at the end of May 2017 to 1,210.84 million at the end of June 2017, showing a monthly growth rate of 0.49 per cent,” the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India said in the monthly subscribers report.

Out of 11 telecom operators, only five top mobile players — Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone and Idea Cellular — were able to add new customers.
