Star comedian Kapil Sharma, who had taken admission into a rehab centre, has quit drinking, DNA reports. As per the report, Sharma has returned to Mumbai from Bengaluru where he was undergoing an anti-toxification treatment at an ayurvedic centre. The report says that Kapil was supposed to remain at rehab centre for at least 40 days, however, he managed to recover within 12 days only. Earlier, it was reported by Indian Express that Sharma is learnt to be coming back to small screen by the month of October. Sources close to the star have told indianexpress.com that he is doing perfectly fine now and will soon resume the shoot of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Undoubtedly, Kapil had a tough 2017 as his show was marked by a number of controversies. First, there was news of a few stars not willing to attend the show because of Kapil’s tantrums, then there was a spat between Kapil and his co-star Sunil Grover, which even became public. And then, his show, the cornerstone of success in the industry, went off air. An official spokesperson from the Sony was quoted as saying by Indian Express, “Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break.
However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery.” In a shocking report, actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Aishwarya Rai were said to have gone back after the star couldn’t make it to the shoot. These incidents had said to have created quite a bad picture for Kapil, who reportedly also received a verbal warning from the channel.
