Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has built a reputation for being one of the best smartphone brands in India. One of the recent offerings from the brand is the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, which is available via both online and offline channels. The phone comes in 2 variants and was launched at Rs 4,999 for the 2GB RAM variant whereas Rs 6,999 was charged for the 3GB RAM variant on the online channels. However, with the Republic Day just around the corner, Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A can be fetched for a price of as low as Rs 4000. At the Big Bazaar Republic Day Sale, the smartphone is listed at a discounted price of Rs 5499 for the 2GB variant. Big Bazaar is offering Rs 1000 off on the smartphone if you make the purchase via Future Pay Wallet. On top of this is a 10 percent discount on using Axis Bank debit or credit cards. The offer is valid from January 22 to January 28 or until stocks last.
With all the offers put together, with the cashback and discounts in one place, Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be available at an effective price of around Rs. 4,000 (Rs 3,999 to be specific). However, the only catch with the offer is the fact that Future Pay wallet cashback will be credited in five monthly instalments from February to June 2018. The Axis Bank credit/debit cards will let the buyers avail a maximum discount of Rs 500 on the smartphone. The offer on Xiaomi Redmi 5A is applicable only at offline outlets of Big Bazaar.
As far as the specifications are considered, Xiaomi Redmi 5A has a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 resolution and 296ppi pixel density. Xiaomi Redmi 5A also has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, clocked at 1.4GHz. The smartphone comes in two storage variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB memory, and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A packs a 3000mAh battery and it also has a dedicated microSD card slot which can hold up to 128GB memory card.
