The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees, raising it from 53% to 55%, effective January 2025, ANI reported.
The hike will be reflected in the April salary, to be disbursed in May. This move is set to benefit approximately 16 lakh state government employees. In addition, around 12 lakh pensioners will also receive a 2% hike in Dearness Relief (DR), offering some financial respite amid inflationary pressures.
