GIFT Nifty indicated that Indian equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 may see a lower opening on Thursday. Here’s a look at the key stocks to watch in trade.

Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty was trading 23 points or 0.10% lower at 24,522 indicating a negative start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Thursday. Previously, on Wednesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 10 points or 0.04% higher at 24,467, while the BSE Sensex rose 110 points or 0.14% to close at 80,956.

L&T Tech

L&T Technology Services secured a $50-million deal from a global network solutions firm to provide product integration services in North America. This multi-year agreement will enable the company to provide comprehensive support for the client’s advanced networking solutions, ensuring seamless integration and success for customers across the North American region.

Swiggy

Swiggy is looking to increase the delivery fees it charges from its customers on its quick commerce platform Instamart in a bid to improve its unit economics. This was indicated by the company’s chief financial officer (CFO) Rahul Bothra, in an analyst call post the announcement on results on Tuesday.

Vodafone Idea

British telecom giant Vodafone Group has announced plans to divest its remaining three per cent stake in Indus Towers, an Indian telecom infrastructure company. The sale, comprising 79.2 million shares, will be conducted through an accelerated book build offering, the company revealed on Wednesday.

Waaree Energies 

Waaree Energies aims to set up an 11.4 gigawatt (GW) integrated solar manufacturing facility by fiscal year 2026-27, the company’s chief financial officer Sonal Shrivastava said. Of this, Waaree Energies will commission 5.4 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity with an estimated investment of Rs 2,400-2,500 crores in the current fiscal and the remaining 6 GW integrated manufacturing facility to produce ingots, wafers, and solar cells by FY27. 

Bharti Airtel 

Bharti Airtel has announced a ‘multi-year, multi-billion extension deal with Ericsson. This is similar to the same deal which was awarded to Nokia two weeks ago. On Wednesday, Airtel and Ericsson said the Swedish telecom equipment maker will deploy centralised Radio Access Network (RAN) and Open RAN-ready solutions. Ericsson will also undertake the software upgrade of its currently deployed 4G radios, thereby enhancing the customer experience.

Suzlon Energy

Renewable energy major Suzlon Group said that it has bagged a 302.4 megawatt (MW) wind power project from Jindal Renewables, just over a month after securing a 400-MW wind power deal from the same firm.

Bharat Forge

The company has approved the launch of its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), setting the floor price for the equity issue at Rs 1,323.54 per equity share. The decision, made by the company’s Investment Committee during a meeting on Wednesday, follows prior approval from the Board of Directors and shareholders via a postal ballot.
