Gautam Adani ranks as India’s second wealthiest individual and the 17th richest globally, with a staggering net worth of $84 billion (roughly Rs 7 lakh crore), according to Forbes. As Chairman of the Adani Group, which boasts a market capitalization of approximately $242.73 billion (about Rs 20 lakh crore), Adani oversees seven publicly listed entities spanning Energy, Ports & Logistics, Mining & Resources, Gas, Defence & Aerospace, and Airports.
In grooming the next generation, Adani is preparing his sons, Karan Adani and Jeet Adani, to assume leadership roles within the conglomerate.
Karan Adani, the eldest son of Gautam and Priti Adani, currently serves as the Managing Director of APSEZ (Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd), India’s largest airport operator and controller of Mundra Port, with a market capitalization of Rs 2,36,000 crore. He also holds directorships at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, Ambuja Cements, and ACC Cement.
Karan, an Economics graduate from Purdue University in the USA, completed his schooling at Mumbai’s Cathedral and John Connon School. His net worth reportedly stands at $1.2 billion (around Rs 10,000 crore), as per GQ. Karan has been married to Paridhi Shroff, daughter of Cyril Shroff, managing partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, since 2013, and they have a daughter named Anuradha, born in 2016.
Jeet Adani, the youngest son of Gautam and Priti Adani, currently holds the position of Vice President of Finance at Adani Group. Jeet is a Director at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd and Adani Digital Labs like his brother. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania – School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and completed the Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School, both in the USA.
In 2023, Jeet became engaged to Diva Jaimin Shah, daughter of Jaimin Shah, a diamond trader who owns C. Dinesh & Co Pvt Ltd.
