To counter Reliance Jio’s tough competition, Bharti Airtel has revamped 2 of its prepaid plans. With the added changes the, plan now offers a bunch of added value that will be mouthwatering for the customers. Customers will now get extra validity with few of the existing prepaid plans. The plan in which Airtel has made changes are Rs 448 and Rs 509 prepaid plans. Now when you recharge your phone with Rs 448 you will get unlimited voice calls and 1GB data per day, however, the validity for the same plan has been increased to 82 days. That means that the total internet data offered on the plan has increased to 82GB. Previously, the validity for this plan was 70 days.
Similarly, Airtel has made changes in its Rs 509 plan. The plan which was launched in December came with a validity of 84 days. However, now Airtel has revamped and bumped up the validity period to 91 days. Previously, the plan was offering unlimited calling, roaming, 100 SMS per day with 1GB daily data for 84 days. Now, with the added validity, the data on the plan provided is a staggering 91 GB.
With a validity period of nearly 3 months, the plan includes unlimited voice calls even on roaming. However, it should be noted that under terms and conditions provided by Airtel, the voice calls have an overall capping of 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week.
When compared with Reliance Jio, Airtel has managed to increase the validity period in order to compete with the Jio’s expensive plans. Reliance Jio’s Rs 498 prepaid recharge has a validity of 91 days validity. Although the plan comes with a 1.5GB daily data. The daily internet offered by Reliance Jio makes a total of 136GB data in total.
Recently, Reliance Jio announced the offer of 1GB daily data and unlimited voice calling at a mere price of Rs 149; which makes it one of the reasonable options in the market. The plan has a validity of 28 days. To compete with the Jio, Airtel launched a recharge of Rs 198 that will fetch the user 1GB daily data with unlimited calling.
