Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan recently opened up about working with his father during their collaboration for the latter’s luxury streetwear brand D’yavol X. While interacting with GQ, Aryan said, “It’s always a pleasure and a learning experience. People talk about his work ethic, but experiencing it first-hand was exciting. He has a wealth of knowledge, which makes my job easier.” For the unversed, Shah Rukh is the face of this high-end brand.

Aryan highlighted Shah Rukh‘s diverse contributions to the brand beyond his role as its public face. He noted that Shah Rukh has a wealth of knowledge and brings a sense of “sanity and maturity” to their “edgy” brand. Aryan said that some aspects that he finds challenging, Shah Rukh effortlessly navigates through them. Given the edgy nature of the brand, Aryan revealed that Shah Rukh’s presence helps maintain a balance of sanity and respectability; “otherwise, things could get too chaotic,” Aryan elaborated. He further added that by incorporating perspectives from both ends, their brand can resonate with a wide audience, spanning from young children to 70-year-old adults.

Speaking about his directorial debut and balancing it with the new collection for their clothing brand, Aryan provided some insight, stating that both endeavors offer unique creative stimulation. As the creative director of the brand, Aryan said that his role involves shooting ads and supervising photoshoots. “I’m very involved creatively, but not as much when it comes to the logistics. On the other hand, as a director I have to look into every detail, every shot, and every angle,” he said.

While ‘Stardom’ marks Aryan‘s official directorial venture, he had previously directed an advertisement featuring Shah Rukh Khan for their fashion brand. The six-episode series, penned by Aryan, will delve into the dynamics of the film industry and is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ last year.
