CLAT 2025 Registration Process: The registration process for CLAT 2025, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities, commences on Monday (July 15). Eligible candidates can apply for the Common Law Admission Test until October 15 through the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 

CLAT 2025 is scheduled for December 1, with the exam duration from 2 to 4 pm (extended to 4:40 pm for PwD candidates).

CLAT 2025 serves as the entrance test for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses at various national law universities across India.

Steps to Apply for CLAT 2025 Registration

  1. Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  2. Open the registration link for CLAT UG or PG.
  3. Fill out and submit the form to generate your login details.
  4. Use the login details to complete the application form.
  5. Upload necessary documents and pay the application fee.
  6. Save the confirmation page for future reference.

CLAT 2025 Registration Eligibility Criteria

  • For CLAT UG: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates). Those appearing in the Class 12 exam in March/April 2025 are also eligible.
  • For CLAT PG: Applicants need an LLB degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates). Those appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2025 can also apply.

Application fee for CLAT 2025:

The application fee for CLAT 2025 is Rs 4,000 for general category candidates and Rs 3,500 for SC, ST, PwD, and BPL candidates.

Exam pattern for CLAT 2025:

The CLAT UG exam will consist of a 2-hour test featuring 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. The exam will cover English language, current affairs (including general knowledge), logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques. Conversely, the CLAT PG paper will focus on constitutional law and various other legal domains such as jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, property law, administrative law, law of contract, torts, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labour and industrial law.
