Army officer killed, 3 soldiers injured in fire in Siachen Siachen
An Army officer was killed while three soldiers were injured in a fire incident in the Siachen glacier in the early hours of Wednesday, officials said. The incident took place at the Siachen glacier at around 3 am on Wednesday, the officials said. They said four Army personnel suffered injuries in the incident. (PTI)

Activist Teesta Setalvad gets bail in evidence forgery case
The Supreme Court has granted bail to Activist Teesta Setalvad in a case linked to forging evidence of 2002 Gujarat riots. The Supreme court says that a charge sheet has been filed against the activist and no custodial interrogation is necessary. She has been directed by the SC to not influence witnesses in the case linked to the Gujarat riots while granting the Gujarat Police the liberty to move to apex court directly if an attempt is made to do so. Mob thrashes Delhi couple who tortured domestic help
A woman pilot and her husband who is also an airline staff were thrashed by a mob in Dwarka. The couple had allegedly tortured a 10-year-old girl who they had employed as domestic help. A case has been registered under Child Labour Act. The couple has been detained by the Delhi Police. (READ MORE)
J&K: Terrorists shoot at forest department officers in Pulwama, 2 injured Pulwama
Unidentified terrorists shot at and injured two forest department employees during a check in the Rajpora village of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, informed police in a statement. The police further informed that the injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. One injured person has been identified as Imran Yousaf, a resident of Mohnu, Charar-i-Sharief who sustained a bullet injury in the thigh. (ANI)

TATA Groups have announced its interest in batteries manufacturing and will soon be investing 4 billion pounds (about Rs 42,500 crore) in setting up a factory for batteries that will serve Jaguar Land Rover as well as other manufacturers. Mass murder in Jodhpur
Charred bodies of four, including a seven-month-old infant, were recovered in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur today. According to the latest reports, all victims belonged to one family. Initial probe says that the victims were first murdered and then the bodies were set on fire in Jodhpur’s Ramnagar village.

25-year-old man stabbed to death in Jaffrabad, New Delhi
A 25-year-old man, identified as Salman, was stabbed to death by the father of his girlfriend and her brothers, near Kalyan Cinema, Chauhan Banger, Jaffrabad. 6.5 magnitude jolts El Salvador
A strong 6.5 magnitude earthquake in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of El Salvador trembled much of Central America from Nicaragua to Guatemala. The USGS reported the epicenter to be 43 kilometres south of Intipuc, El Salvador at a depth of 70 kilometres.
