RailTel has bagged multiple orders worth over Rs 50 crore on Wednesday. The public sector company received Rs 34.99 crore from the Kerala State Information Technology Mission and another order worth Rs 15.42 crore from the Higher Education Department, Odisha.
RailTel, a Navaratna company which provides broadband services, has received the order from Kerala State Information Technology Mission to provide the data centre operation services and maintenance of the State Data Centres for a period of five years.
For the order from Odisha’s Higher Education Department, RailTel will be responsible for the design and development of CMS based bilingual websites for colleges of the Higher Education Department of Odisha.
What does RailTel do?
RailTel is a Navratna PSU company under the Ministry of Railways. It is one of the largest neutral telecom service providers in India. The company has an extensive fibre network stretched over 62000 KM along the railway tracks in India and has a 21000 KM citywide network.
The company provides extensive signalling services and has a dedicated data centre network. In Q4FY25, RailTel posted a revenue of Rs 1308 crore and a profit of Rs 131.8 crore.

RailTel’s stock closed flat on Wednesday. Its share opened at Rs 359 and closed at Rs 358.5. The stock was trading at its highest of the day at Rs 362 at 11:35 AM.
