DRIVE FITT, a new 24/7 gym facility in India, is set to make its debut later this year, merging cricket and fitness training into a comprehensive workout experience. Co-founded by Bollywood actress Preity G Zinta, cricket star Shubman Gill, and Australian entrepreneurs Mark Sellar and Deke Smith, DRIVE FITT aims to offer a unique fusion of advanced cricket training and traditional fitness amenities.
The flagship facility will feature state-of-the-art cricket training equipment, including high-tech bowling machines, alongside a full range of fitness services. These include strength, conditioning, and cardio training, complemented by yoga studios. Members will have access to premium equipment and services for a weekly fee, catering to both cricket enthusiasts and general fitness aficionados.
“I am excited to bring DRIVE FITT to India as it represents a unique fusion of fitness and cricket, two passions that resonate deeply with me and a lot of people in India. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where people of all ages and fitness levels can come together to train, have fun, and stay healthy. I’m excited to bring this innovative concept to India and can’t wait to see how it transforms lives,” Preity G Zinta, co-founder, DRIVE FITT said.
India’s fitness market is expanding rapidly, with projections indicating it will reach $2.6 billion by 2025, driven by increasing health consciousness and a rising number of gym-goers. The industry is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 13%, fueled by urbanisation, higher disposable incomes, and a shift towards healthier lifestyles.
However, DRIVE FITT will enter a competitive landscape, facing established players such as global gym chains like Anytime Fitness and Gold’s Gym, as well as local brands like Cult.fit and Snap Fitness. These competitors offer a variety of services and pricing options, creating a dynamic environment for DRIVE FITT to navigate.
The company plans to expand rapidly, with a goal of opening 300 franchise locations across India within the next three years. This expansion is intended to make high-quality fitness and cricket training widely accessible and promote a healthier lifestyle nationwide.
“The seed of DRIVE FITT was my experience of a lack of accessible, quality training facilities. Growing up, this meant hours wasted in commuting between home, the pitch and the gym. DRIVE FITT will change this with a unique space that integrates world-class gym and fitness facilities with cricket-infused training. We understand the vital link between physical and mental well-being, and our goal is to help individuals, both aspiring cricketers and fitness enthusiasts, excel both on the field and in life. DRIVE FITT is more than just a gym; it’s a community to empower every Indian with the key to achieve their fitness and wellness goals,” Shubman Gill, co-founder, DRIVE FITT said.
