What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

When I am not working, I read Tipitaka, which is the collection of books containing the discourses of Buddha. They help me in my vipassana meditation, improve my personality and develop love and compassion for others.

How do you spend your weekends?

Half of the weekends are spent with my family – cooking, watching TV, shopping, reading or simply sleeping it off. The other half are spent discussing the Teachings of Buddha with other vipassana meditators.

What are your favorite gadgets?

Old manual kitchen tools & knives are my favorite gadgets. Grinding Stones, mortar and pestle, a good chopping board, knives etc. I am now adding the stone-mill and a stove where I could use cow-dung cakes.

Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

I enjoy working for the people, working at a large scale. In fact, I dream to do something in the area of Human Resource Development for the nation one day in the future. People are the most precious resource of any country and India needs a Human Resource Vision of its own. So Politics and Governance would be future choice.

Which is your favorite vacation spot?

Any place in the Himalayan Mountainous Region will do, especially if I can be at a single place for a couple of days, instead of travelling constantly. The solitude, flora, fauna and the water-bodies could inspire me to stay back there forever.

A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching

S.H.I.E.L.D is a nice OTT Series. I love it especially for the the science fiction-based possibilities it brings out. Gets my mind ticking. I like many movies, but National Treasure Part 1 & 2 can really shape the thought-process. Absolutely love them. “Hamara Bajaj” was one the best Indian Ad Campaign, I remember even after all these years, especially the lines… Buland Bharat ki, Buland tasveer….
