IndiGo flight status today: After cancelling over 50 flights yesterday, IndiGo has cancelled a similar number of flights across major airports today, including but not limited to Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. This comes after IndiGo cancelled as many as 172 flights on Monday.
Expect flight delays: IndiGo
In its travel advisory issued late yesterday, IndiGo said that passengers should expect flight delays or schedule adjustments due to foggy winter mornings across North and East India, which reduce visibility and slow the pace of flight movements.
“As the morning approaches under misty winter skies, fog is predicted across parts of North and East India, which may lead to reduced visibility and a slower pace of flight movements during the early hours. In the interest of safety, some flights may experience delays or adjustments,” said IndiGo in its travel advisory.
The airline also warned that foggy conditions could impact road traffic, urging passengers to factor in extra travel time while heading to the airport. “Foggy conditions may also impact road traffic, with slower movement and longer travel times expected while commuting to the airport. Customers travelling early are advised to plan with additional buffer time…,” it further said.
