A supercar needs high precision tools and cannot be treated like any run-of-the-mill car. In order to cater to the recently launched Nissan GT-R and its customers, the Japanese carmaker inaugurated India’s first and only after sales showroom in Noida on 5th December, 2016. This showroom, Neo Nissan, will not only cater to the aftersales and service of the GT-R, but will take care of the sales as well. This after sales centre will cater to customers across the country with technical engineers known as ‘flying doctors’ who would travel on-ground to cater to the GT-R’s maintenance. The entire equipment for the GT-R has been imported from Japan, including a high precision alignment tester, electronic diagnostic tool, tyre changer specific to the GT-R and special service tools.
The showroom will also take car of each GT-R customers’ need and calibrate the supercar according to their need, say for example if a customer asks for more track-oriented behaviour, technical experts available at the showroom would tune the car for the same. At the launch, Hiroshi Tamura, Chief Product Specialist for the GT-R said, “The Nissan GT-R is the ultimate symbol of Nissan’s driving pleasure and it requires the highest standards of service and care to deliver peak driving excitement. The staff at the NHPC in Noida have had rigorous training in Japan to provide the world-class level of service to GT-R customers. And I know the NHPC team shares the same passion and enthusiasm for the new 2017 GT-R as our customers here in India.”
Nissan claims to have put attention to every detail for this state-of-the-art after sales centre and has also included a full body shop which has frame straightening machine, unique jigs (hydraulic lift) for the GT-R and an aluminium body repair kit along with other services. The centre also has a special nitrogen filling station for the GT-R’s tyres. “I am delighted to inaugurate Nissan’s first High-Performance Centre in India.
