The Datsun redi-GO ,when launched in the Indian automotive market, became the brand's first product to taste success . As many as 3,000 deliveries were made in the first 29 days. Now, the low-cost Japanese brand has introduced a new version of the urban car which, to say the least, adds more appeal to it. The silhouette still remains the same.

Mechanicals remain unchanged on the car based on the Renault Kwid's platform. It is also powered by the same 799cc petrol engine that generates 52hp of max power and 72Nm of peak torque. Power from the three-cylinder motor is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, that has an effortless gear shift, which works well in city traffic and the short ratios mean that the hatchback can reach the fifth gear early making it convenient to drive at highway speeds. Cabin space is ample and four adults can sit comfortably thanks to the tall-boy design. Other design changes include a black wheel cover with a dash of red, black stripes on the sides, roof and bonnet. on the front, the car gets a theme grille-red accents. The car is offered in three colors- ruby, white and grey.
On the inside, the redi-GO gets a sporty black interior and dashboard with red accents all around the cabin. For entertainment, it features Bluetooth audio system. The car also gets keyless entry, rear parking sensors and paint matching accents and stitching. This makes the car more focused for the young buyer in the country. Should a potential buyer buy one?
