Known for not holding back on making their products visually appealing, Razer seem to be travelling down the same highway when they came up with the Orca headphones. Dressed in what they call ?venomous green? colour, the Orca does not have the looks which will either appeal to a lot of people or price that will convince the undecided ones.

However, it has the performance which will make audio listening and gaming sessions a delight. Punchy base is coupled with crisp vocal clarity, essential in both music as well as gaming.

Crank up the volume and the clarity does not diminish, but we won?t advise you to listen to music too loud as it may damage your ears. At medium and low volumes, the punch remains and so does the audio clarity and depth.

Even though the Orca headphones are not noise cancelling, yet the perfect fit over the ear cancels out the ambient noise extremely well.

The Orca are indeed quite comfortable to use. The ear cups are rounded up with foam and cloth which sit softly, yet are very stable over the ears. The 3.5 mm jack wire is quite long already, yet Razer thoughtfully supply a 2 meter extension cable with the headphones.

The Orca headphones will perform well, whatever content you may be listening to via whatever gadget you may be using at that time?laptop, iPod or a media player.

Overall, at a price of Rs. 3.6k, the Razer Orca may not be the first choice of a lot of music buffs, but if you can digest the colour, do check it out for its performance. Else, you can also check out the Sennheiser HD415, which have a way more conventional look, great performance and at Rs 3k, have a price advantage as well.
