The government-appointed special auditors, probing the accounts of the country?s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel for alleged under-payment of licence fee is believed to have submitted its report to the department of telecommunications on Wednesday. The move comes five months after a similar government appointed probe into Reliance Communications had found irregularities in its books. A similar audit has also been ordered on other telecom operators, Vodafone-Essar, Tata Teleservices and Idea Cellular. These reports are likely to be submitted by March 15. According to DoT fficials, a special audit for all integrated telcos would be undertaken, as suggested by Trai.
