Riding high on the commissioning of its PESB manufacturing unit in Roorkee, Uttrakhand, Everest Industries is targeting a market share of 50% in North in pre-engineered buildings solutions during the current fiscal.

?The demand is quite good from northern region and the company is targeting 50% share in 2010-11, Manish Garg, president steel building solutions, Everest Industries, told FE.

At present, the company has a market share of 15% in northern region. Recently, the company has commissioned Roorkee plant with an investment of Rs 100 crore. The PESB division of the company designs, manufacture and erect any infrastructure project like factory sheds, logistic parks, warehouses, airports, metro stations, railway stations and commercial buildings.

Garg claimed that in a little over two years of commercial operations, the company has undertaken more than 500 projects in 25 states. He informed that, at present, only 27% of all industrial and institutional buildings in India use pre-engineered buildings, while it is over 70% in the US.
