Chandigarh, capital of both Punjab and Haryana, is set to host one of the biggest auto shows in the country, Auto Mall 2009, from March 6 to 8 at the Parade Ground. The Auto Mall 2009, a three-day event, will feature some of the best automobile brands in addition to displaying modified cars and bikes.
This exhibition will be complemented by a auto job fare. There is no entry ticket for the visitors at the show that is being touted as the largest upcountry automobile show.
Sandeep Kapoor, managing director, Relio Quick India, an integrated marketing communication and business solutions company, which is organizing the show, told FE, ?With such an unprecedented gathering of the automobile fraternity under one roof, Auto Mall 2009 promises to offer exciting business opportunities for automobile companies and knowledge about the latest happening in the sector to visitors.?
Kapoor added, ?The automobile market in Chandigarh has witnessed a tremendous growth in the last few years. Chandigarh also happens to have a strategic location, catering to the automobile buyers of Himachal, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. So it is an obvious choice to host the show.?
He said that the first Auto Mall 2009 Expo held in Delhi last month was a huge success with participation from leading brands such as Ford, Toyota, General Motors, Mahindra Renault, Hindustan Motors, Tata Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Skoda, Reva, Hero Electric and Avon E Bikes participated. More than 1.3 lakh visitors enjoyed the event.
