After common subscribers, now it is finance minister P Chidambaram’s turn to get peeved over the way mobile calls drop, as he sought to know from the group chairman of the largest cellular operator Bharti Airtel, Sunil Mittal, when they would be able to fix the problem.
“When will calls not drop in Lutyens’ Delhi?,” asked Chidambaram from Mittal at the NDTV Profit Business Award function on Monday. Chidambaram had earlier, like an ordinary subscriber, lodged his complaint about call drops with the Airtel’s grievances redressal cell.
Mittal responded to the query by pointing out, “I am going to be very honest here. I was prepared for this question because this time you bypassed me and you went directly into my system to complain, but I got the message back”.
