Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He assured him that there will be no compromise on corruption. Kumar said that he hoped that with the assistance of the Central government, Bihar will progress further. Earlier, on Wednesday, Kumar through his Twitter handle said,” I thank PM Modi from all my heart for his well-wishes on my decision.” Earlier, after the oath ceremony, Prime Minister Modi tweeted his congratulations to both the new Chief Minister and Dy Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi respectively. In his tweet, PM Modi said that he is now looking forward to working together with the two for the progress and prosperity of Bihar. PM Modi’s tweet read, “Congratulations to @NitishKumar ji & @SushilModi ji. Looking forward to working together for Bihar’s progress & prosperity.”

Moreover, on Wednesday, when Nitish Kumar resigned as the CM of Bihar, saying that he was not left with any other option but to quit, PM Modi had congratulated him then as well for breaking the alliance and taking the side of the anti-corruption front. PM said that he congratulated Nitish Kumar for the joint fight against corruption. He also said that the entire population of 125 crore Indians welcome and honour the honesty shown by Nitish Kumar. He added that in order to welcome the bright future of India, Bihar in particular, it is necessary to rise above the political differences and fight against corruption.
